I know it been awhile since I posted on here. I really don’t have an excuse. Honestly I have been trying really diving deep into Wifi. Both business and residential. Really wanting to grow there. I believe we will see a surge in wireless device everywhere. And not just our smart phones, laptops, ipads, and tablets. I’m talking real devices, like for the home or business wifi lighting. And if you don’t know how to configure a networks and firewall rules properly then you will run into issues. And that will on both on the wired and wireless sides.
So what have I been learning, first I ended buying another Rasberrypi 4 and building a WlanPi with their kit. So far this has been great. Company eneded up paying for Wifi Explorer Pro with Airtool 2. Wow I get ton of info with this combo. I already know the basics, channels, channel width, power, Some of things I have been testing is the difference between connect my iphone15 pro from a wifi 6ghz to 5ghz and how quick when roaming happens between access points. Thats pretty cool.
Another thing that has peaked my interests lately is Passpoint(Hotspot2.0). That is a really cool piece of tech that I think will configured in more and more. I am still looking into this with cost effected way. But the the only thing that is holding me up is that currently I am trying to use Orion but I need a Radsec server. They have a docker image but the problem is that I already have a testing radius server in docker. I know I can stop it but I am lazy and like playing around and breaking things and then figuring how to fix it. Also I am looking for more as something I can turn into a service.
Well I will definitely start trying to keep up with more of monthly update. I really don’t know what’s going to happen next month and the month after that.
